Below is the rest of my COLLECTION.

1)Georgian (George III) Sterling Silver Tablespoon

Sterling Silver Tablespoon (George III)

Dated: 1791

City Mark: London

Maker: Unknown as the Maker's Hallmark is almost rubbed out; perhaps Orlando Jackson? From what I can make out under a magnifying glass, the mark is a horizontal oval, the first letter being either a G, O or Q (As I can only see the left half of the first initial!).

Odd Tidbit: Is inscribed with the markings "WR to WS"; I am descended, on my mother's side, from the Small family of Port Augusta, South Australia, Australia. Perhaps an heirloom from them.

2) Victorian (Queen Victoria) Sterling Silver Teaspoon

Victorian Sterling Silver Teaspoon

Dated: 1852

City Mark: London

Maker: In all probability, Charles Watson (but no evidence of his mark remains).

Odd Tidbit: Monogrammed with "JS" (from James Small, early descendent).

3) Sterling Silver Money Clip

Modern (2002) Birmingham Sterling Silver Money Clip

Dated: 2002

City Mark: Birmingham

Maker: Barker Ellis Silver Company

Odd Tidbit: A present from my girlfriend!

4) Georgian (George III) Sterling Silver Salts

Sterling Silver Salt Bowl by Robert Hennell

Dated: 1784

City Mark: London

Maker: Robert Hennell ("Good, general work" - Ian Pickford in 'Jackson's Hallmarks')

Odd Tidbit: Has the not unusual boat shape, but is notable as having unusual duty marks. The marks used were only used for two years (from 1784 to 1785), as this date is second year of the duty mark.

Care to comment on any of the pieces? Send me an E-Mail.
